Set up automatic expenses from notifications on iOS 27

Connect bank, wallet, or fintech notifications to CapyCash. This option covers payment notices beyond Apple Pay and lets you choose which apps can trigger it.

This guide requires iOS 27 or later.

How the finished automation should look

The trigger has the selected apps and no content filter. The CapyCash action receives the Body property from the notification input.

Set it up manually

    Open Shortcuts, go to Automation, tap +, and choose Notification.

    Select one or more bank, wallet, or fintech apps. Leave the content filter empty.

    Add the CapyCash action named “Add expense from notification to CapyCash”.

  4. 4

    For Notification Text, select Shortcut Input and then its Body property. Do not use Title, the full Notification object, Get Numbers, or a number conversion.

    Choose “Run Immediately”, turn on “Notify When Run”, and save the automation.

After it is added, Shortcuts may summarize the action as “Register notification [Body]”. It is the same CapyCash action, not a second action.

Wallet and Notification automations are independent. If both cover the same payment, CapyCash may receive it twice; this depends on the setup chosen by the user.
